Winter 2018 Instructional Leagues
Kindergarten through 6th Grade, Boys & Girls
This is a more clinic based league for beginners and players with 1-3 years playing experience. This format also provides age specific basketball drills that are more advanced. Qualified coaches will focus on the repetition of ball handling, footwork, stop and pivot, and transitions of offense/defense, all while keeping it fun! Players will then be able to exercise their skills in a friendly game while being monitored by the coach. This game style generally removes some of the adult competitiveness that goes along with traditional game styles and also helps address the challenge where, typically, more advanced players dominate the game while the remainder have less opportunity to play an important role. With a clinic-based format, players of all ability levels can develop skills and have fun, and beginners will have a better learning experience and develop faster by learning to play more skilled positions. Each team will consist of 8-10 players, games will vary 4v4 & 5v5 (full court) against an opposing team using age specific rim height.
Our goal: Our top priority is to make sure your child is having fun while learning the skills and rules of basketball… Keeping them engaged so that they receive the best instruction for further advancement.
